Ms. Brittany MacDonald

Land Based Learning Teacher

Brittany MacDonald is a mother and educator of Cree, Dene, Scottish and Hungarian ancestry and a band member of Fort McKay First Nation.  She has a Bachelor of Health and Physical Education, majoring in Tourism and Outdoor Leadership through Mount Royal University, a Bachelor of Education through the University of Calgary and just finished her Masters of Indigenous Land-Based Education through the University of Saskatchewan.   Before teaching she was working outside with youth as a paddling specialist in the Calgary and Canmore area taking youth white water rafting, kayaking and canoeing. Brittany is excited to be working in her home community of Fort McKay First Nation and excited to participate in all of the Land-Based learning opportunities through Elsie Fabian School.
